SM (Cables) Limited, a private company duly registered in Malta and approved by the local authorities, is engaged in the building construction and electrical trading activity. As a manufacturing base that commenced in 1996, SM (Cables) acquired all the necessary expertise from its European collaborators who have also shown trust by introducing valuable customers. The company’s business – the scope is to import the best raw material compliant to internationally recognized standards for the production of various Low Voltage Electrical Cable and Wire. The company also handles the business of compensation trade, co-operative production, joint ventures, and technology transfer. The company maintains a Quality Management System to ISO 9001 and holds product type approvals from TUV – Rheinland Germany and from Kema Keur – Holland. The 2400 square meter factory and its operations are under regular surveillance carried out by TUV-Rheinland and Kema. Cable compliance testing is carried out both in-house and at independent international Laboratories Namely British Standard Institute, Kema – Holland, Semko – Sweden, and IMQ – Italy. The company facilities are conveniently located near the Malta International Airport and the Malta Freeport. This ensures various transportation options with direct sea and air connections to European, North African, Middle East, and the far East countries thus facilitating the importation of raw materials and delivery of orders to our esteemed customers.
