Accounts Payable Clerk (3-Month Definite Contract)

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team on a 3-month definite contract. This position has arisen due to an increase in periodic workload within the department, requiring additional support to assist the existing team in managing pending tasks and ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.

The selected candidate will play an important role in supporting the accounts payable function and helping maintain smooth financial operations during this busy period.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments accurately and efficiently
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and supporting documentation
  • Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies
  • Assist in clearing pending accounts payable transactions
  • Maintain accurate filing and financial records
  • Respond to supplier and internal queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Support month-end closing activities and reporting requirements
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the Finance team as required
Educational and skill requirements

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an accounts payable, finance, or accounts administration role
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Good organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
