Administrator - Aerodrome Safety

Description

Malta International Airport plc is looking for dynamic individuals who are passionate about working within an airport environment, and are willing to continuously learn, develop, and be part of a high-performance culture. This vacancy has arisen within the Aerodrome Safety & Compliance Department.

Purpose of Position:

The main purpose of this role is to monitor the effectiveness of the Aerodrome Safety Management System.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Providing direct support to the Aerodrome Safeguarding Unit in assuring safe and efficient operation of the aerodrome and terminal facilities.
  • Assure that the established systems for occurrence record management are being kept up-to date.
  • Issue periodical statistical reports from the safety management occurrence reporting system.
  • Execute safety inspections on the aerodrome and report back on findings / observations made.
  • Maintain current all documentation related to the Aerodrome Safety Performance Indicators.
  • Maintain oversight on established Safety Performance Indicators and potential developing trends.
  • Compile data and presentations for Safety Review Board and Local Runway Safety Team meetings.
  • Determine content and publish the Safety Alerts and initiate/ participate in other safety promotion publications/campaigns
  • Plan annual training requirements and proficiency check assessments for Aerodrome Safety Personnel.
  • To participate in meetings related to Aerodrome Safeguarding.

  • Be able to communicate clearly both in Maltese and English.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Be knowledgeable in Office particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Be energetic, self-motivated and with a positive mind-set.
  • Be highly organised.
  • Be capable of working well within a team.
  • Have the ability to effectively plan and manage own workloads.
