Auditor

A qualified Auditor is required by a small professional firm based in San Gwann to carryout investigations of financial records and check the integrity of the financial information submitted by clients.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Verifying the accuracy of financial statements and tax filings
Searching for clues as to why some figures don't quite add up.
Reviewing balance sheets, income statements, etc., to ensure accurancy and compliance with law
Documenting procedures
Identifying control weeknesses and recommending improvements
Preparing detailed audit report and presenting finding to manager or client
Ensuring compliance and risk management
Communicating with client and team

Educational and skill requirements

Ideally a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or at least ACCA pass in Applied Knowledge ideally having passed some of the Applied Skills (Audit and Assurance) or equivalent
Willingness to learn and progress to full ACCA qualification or equivalent
Previous experience within an external auditing environment
An analytical and detail orientated mind set
