C Licence Driver / Warehouse Assistant

ESSE Ltd. on behalf of Evolve RS Group are currently seeking to recruit a C Licence Driver / Warehouse Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Department Manager. The incumbent will help in the daily operations of our growing warehouse team.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivery of goods to customers.
• Loading trucks, checking materials and ensuring they are properly secured and safe.
• Unloading goods from vans.
• Ensuring orders are processed efficiently and deliveries meet customers’ expectations and business timelines.
• Picking items according to the order form.
• Inspecting items to ensure they are not damaged or faulty and adjusting inventory accordingly.
• Packing items according to specified packing guidelines.
• Assisting with receiving, unloading, counting and stocking physical inventory in the warehouse.
• Opening boxes, crates and other containers.
• Performing stock takes on all products in the warehouse.
• Ensuring internal delivery processes are followed.
• Identifying errors and eliminating root causes using effective corrective measures.
• Maintaining corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
• Assisting with warehouse sales.
• Performing any other duties the company may deem necessary.

The selected candidate would preferably have the following skills and abilities:

• Knowledge of gypsum, paint and flooring products.
• Experience using a paint machine.
• Previous work experience in the sector is preferred.
• Sufficient experience and skills in operating a forklift truck, with a confident approach.
• Must have completed formal forklift operator refresher training within the last 8 months.
• Valid Category C driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
