Carpenter

This is a full-time, on-site position for an experienced Carpenter at Complete Yachting Ltd, based in Il-Birgu, Malta. The role involves carrying out carpentry, installation, repair, maintenance and finishing works, including projects related to yachts and marine environments. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality workmanship and timely project completion.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Carry out general carpentry and finish carpentry works.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and install wood and related materials.
Install, repair and maintain furniture, panels, fittings and wooden structures.
Carry out repair, restoration and finishing works as required.
Perform teak deck installation, repair, replacement and maintenance.
Carry out deck caulking and re-caulking, including preparation and finishing.
Read and follow measurements, drawings and work instructions.
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Ensure a high standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Educational and skill requirements

Minimum 2 yrs previous professional experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role.
Experience in finish carpentry is considered an advantage.
Good knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, tools and equipment.
Ability to take accurate measurements and follow technical drawings.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Marine or yacht carpentry experience will be considered an advantage.
