OBI Malta is looking for a Chef de Partie/Sushi Chef to joing their team!
The Chef de Partie/Sushi Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality sushi and other menu items while managing a specific section of the kitchen.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi and other menu items while managing a designated section of the kitchen.
- They ensure food is prepared according to standards, maintain cleanliness and hygiene in their workstation, and handle fresh ingredients safely.
- Supervising junior kitchen staff when needed, monitoring stock levels, assisting with inventory control;.
- Supporting the Head Chef or Sous Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
Educational and skill requirements
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef, Chef de Partie, or in a similar kitchen role is an advantage.
- Knowledge of sushi preparation and general cooking techniques.
- Strong knife skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills are also important.
