Front Office Agent
Barceló Fortina Hotel is seeking a dedicated and customer-oriented Front Office Agent to join our dynamic team. This role is key to ensuring our guests have an exceptional and memorable experience from the moment they arrive until their departure.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
- Perform check-in and check-out procedures, including processing payments and issuing room keys.
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and efficiently to ensure satisfaction.
- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate departments or individuals.
- Monitor hotel security by conducting regular walk-throughs and overseeing surveillance systems.
- Complete the end-of-day financial audit, including balancing and reconciling accounts.
- Prepare and submit daily financial and operational reports to the management team.
- Maintain accurate guest account records, including billing statements and preferences.
- Serve as a liaison between guests and other departments, ensuring special requests are communicated effectively.
- Update and record guest information to personalize services and improve their overall experience.
- Assist with additional administrative duties as needed.
Educational and skill requirements
- Previous customer service experience in a hotel or similar setting (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Proficiency with computer systems and basic accounting software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Flexible availability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- EU citizenship is required.
