Garden Shop Operator

• Greet and assist customers with their gardening needs, offering expert advice on plants, tools, and accessories;
• Upsell products, suggest complementary items, and encourage repeat business;
• Stay up-to-date on product ranges, including plants, gardening tools, fertilizers, and outdoor décor;
• Ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked, organised, and visually appealing;
• Assist in stock rotation and inventory management, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves;
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store, including watering plants and cleaning shelves;
• Assist in setting up seasonal displays and promotions to enhance store presentation and attract customers;
• Operate the cash register, process sales transactions, and handle payments accurately.

• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Flair for sales and an outgoing and welcoming approach with customers.
• Secondary school minimum level of education; Computer literacy.
• Good level of communication in the English language.
• Applicants with past experience in running a similar shop/centre are invited to apply.
• The successful person has to have at least 3 years past experience in the Horticultural & Agricultural field.

Salary commensurate with experience.
