Group Purchasing Manager

We are looking for a Group Purchasing Manager to join our client's team.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is Malta's leader in the Hospitality & Leisure sector.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Negotiate contracts for the purchase of required goods and keep accurate records of transaction trends, implement sound purchasing policies, systems, and procedures in accordance with company standards.
Monitor vendors for quality, service, and prices through standard purchasing specifications.
Obtain competitive quotations for Hotel/Restaurants’ requirements and ensure that the best product is sourced and purchased and ensure that all orders received dates are updated by the buyers according to the suppliers' promised delivery dates.
Ensure the efficient operation of the purchasing department in all aspects.
Research and identify new products and services in the market for the hotels and restaurants.
Be responsible for all purchasing functions, quotations, quality, and availability.
Be responsible for the planning and overseeing incoming and outgoing deliveries.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

At least 3 years of experience in purchasing.
IT Proficiency, especially in MS Office.
Excellent communication and people skills
Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
Problem-solving skills.
Eye for detail and a positive working attitude.
Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
Time-management skills.

EDUCATION

A bachelor's degree is preferred.

WORKING TIME

Monday to Friday, from 08:00 till 16:30 with 30 minutes break. Willing to work a flexible schedule to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks.
