The High Voltage Technician specialises in diagnosing faults within the high voltage system of the vehicle and to perform replacement of complete high voltage components, such as the high voltage battery, motor and power electronics. The HVT is also responsible to oversee repairs being carried out on electric vehicles by non-HVTs.

<li>Carry out de-energisation and re-energisation of the high voltage system and ensure that the high voltage system is truly disconnected.</li>
<li>Carry out diagnosis on the high voltage system and its components.</li>
<li>Carry out replacement of high voltage components as per manufacturer&rsquo;s specifications.</li>
<li>Carry out classification of the high voltage battery and ensure all documentation is correctly filled in.</li>
<li>Document repairs and diagnosis performed on job card.</li>
<li>Perform repairs as per repair manuals and using the special tools required to safely conduct the repair.</li>
<li>Perform diagnosis and repairs on systems fitted on a vehicle with an internal combustion engine.</li>
<li>Make proper use of tools and equipment, including personal protective clothing provided.</li>
<li>Keep the work area clean and tidy to promote and maintain a safe working environment.</li>
<li>Adhere strictly to the health and safety regulations and also to company and franchise-required standards.</li>
<li>Attend training organised locally and overseas when and as required.</li>
<li>Carry out additional duties assigned by the Workshop Manager as required</li>
