Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Junior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the company’s overall financial health. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded
Process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner
Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations
Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
Prepare and submit VAT returns

Educational and skill requirements

A qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA, AAT, or equivalent preferred)
Previous experience in a similar Finance Officer or accounting role
Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
Knowledge of local financial regulations and VAT requirements (considered an asset)
