Junior Compliance Specialist
Our team is growing – we have an exciting new role in our Compliance Team!
Overview of the role:
We are looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a highly detail-oriented, organised and motivated that would be assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Compliance department under the direct supervision of the Compliance manager.
Main tasks and responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular compliance checks to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Perform KYC, KYB and Customer Due Diligence checks ensuring proper and accurate verification of client records.
- Support the Compliance team in the preparation of regulatory reports and filings.
- Conduct customer risk assessments.
- Assist in onboarding processes.
- Periodically conduct reviews of Client files.
- Stay updated on relevant Regulatory rules and requirements, such as AML / CFT laws and any other industry-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of compliance across the Company.
Educational and skill requirements
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Minimum of one (1) year working experience in a Compliance related role within Financial Services.
- Experience in Anti-Money Laundering rules & regulations.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office: (Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint).
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in communication skills across a wide range of channels and audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An enthusiastic approach to problem solving.
- Have a sharp eye for detail.
- Willingness to learn.
- A cool head under pressure – we work as a team and support each other but some periods are busier than others.
