Role Overview
This role entails leading complex regulatory compliance projects spanning EU and international jurisdictions, offering strategic legal guidance on emerging frameworks within digital assets, igaming, and AI sectors. The successful candidate will oversee cross-border client engagements, manage sophisticated legal transactions, and mentor junior team members while contributing to global business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Leadership: Spearhead multifaceted compliance efforts across EU and non-EU regions, ensuring seamless global coordination.
• Strategic Legal Advice: Deliver expert counsel on MiCA, DORA, AML6, gaming legislation, and international crypto regulations.
• Client Management: Handle cross-border client relationships and oversee complex legal transactions with high levels of professionalism.
• Mentorship: Support and guide junior colleagues to enhance team capabilities and knowledge.
• Business Development: Actively participate in expanding the Company's international presence and client portfolio.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent legal qualification recognised within the EU.
• Experience: Minimum of four years’ experience practising in sophisticated legal environments, with a focus on digital assets, gaming, and AI regulatory frameworks.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English is essential; proficiency in Maltese is advantageous.
• Communication Skills: Ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Interpersonal Skills: Skilled in fostering strong client relationships and effective teamwork.
• Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of international legal regulations concerning digital assets, gaming, and emerging technologies.
• Organisation: Demonstrates exceptional organisational abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Self-Motivated: Proactive and driven to lead initiatives and contribute to business growth.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
