Paint Inspector
As a Part - time Painter Inspector at Coleiro Group, you will be responsible for inspecting and ensuring the quality of painting and coating work across various projects, primarily within the Marine and Yachting industries. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards for surface preparation, paint application, and final finishes. The ideal candidate will be experienced in these industries and possess a strong understanding of inspection techniques and industry standards.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Perform thorough inspections of paint and coating applications on marine and yachting vessels, ensuring quality standards and specifications are met.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project plans to ensure the correct application of paints and coatings.
- Evaluate surface preparation, priming, and painting techniques to confirm compliance with best practices and industry standards.
- Ensure that all work adheres to safety guidelines and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, observations, and any necessary corrective actions.
- Work closely with project managers, painters, and other teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Monitor the quality and consistency of painting materials and coatings used across projects.
Educational and skill requirements
- Must have experience in the Marine and Yachting industries.
- Proven experience as a Painter Inspector or in a similar role in the painting or coating industry.
- Knowledge of painting and coating materials, methods, and inspection standards.
- Strong attention to detail and an eye for high-quality workmanship.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental standards in the painting industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage inspections.
- Preferably FROSIO or NACE certified.
