About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Part Qualified Accountant to join our Finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys taking ownership of their work and managing a diverse range of accounting responsibilities across multiple companies within the Group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting of a portfolio of companies, while also supporting the accounting operations of the Group's main trading company. The role requires a highly organised individual with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic and a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting for a portfolio of several holding / non-trading companies within a group, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare and process journals for year-end adjustments and maintain assist in preparation of accounting records for year-end audits.
  • Maintain and update the Group's Fixed Asset Register, ensuring all additions, disposals and depreciation records are accurate and up to date.
  • Perform analytical reviews and report on non-financial information from the accounting system to support operational and management requirements if needed.
  • Assist with the reconciliation, review and verification of complex accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and correct treatment.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and contribute to the continuous enhancement of finance procedures.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, suppliers, customers, and external auditors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
