About the Department
The Enforcement Directorate plays a central role in safeguarding the integrity of Malta’s financial system. It is responsible for investigating potential breaches of financial services laws and regulations, assessing risks, and taking appropriate action to ensure firms and individuals remain compliant. Through timely interventions, administrative measures, and close collaboration with other supervisory teams, the directorate helps maintain market confidence and uphold the MFSA’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and consumer protection.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Assistant to support the Chief Officer of Enforcement. Within this role you will carry out the following duties:
- Assist in the preparation and organisation of reports, documents, and presentations for the Chief Officer.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, ensuring all necessary materials are prepared in advance.
- Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Support the Chief Officer in project management tasks, tracking progress and deadlines.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Conduct research and compile data to assist in decision-making processes.
About You
To qualify for this role, you will need to be currently reading for a first degree in any of the following subjects: Law, Banking & Finance, Criminology or any other related course.
To succeed within this role you should also have the following competencies:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach.
