Print Shop Assistant

The individual filling this post will form part of the Operations Team at MJE Solutions Limited and will be involved in the day-to-day operations of our print shops and production team.

The role includes assisting and advising customers on their print requirements, supporting the preparation and production of customer orders, and helping to ensure that all work is completed accurately, efficiently and to a high standard.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical, organised and willing to learn. The right person must take pride in doing work properly, pay attention to detail and help the team complete customer orders on time.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation, production and finishing of customer orders.
  • Read and follow job instructions, order details and daily priorities carefully.
  • Prepare materials and products before production.
  • Support work involving corporate printing and persopnalised print jobs.
  • Check quantities, sizes, names, artwork and order details to avoid mistakes.
  • Carry out basic quality checks before orders are completed.
  • Pack, label and prepare completed orders for collection or delivery.
  • Update job sheets, tickets or order tracking systems as instructed.
  • Help keep production organised and moving according to deadlines.
  • Support colleagues within the Operations Team when required.
  • Keep the work area clean, organised and safe.
  • Use working time productively and look for the next useful task when assigned work is completed.
  • Follow company procedures and contribute to practical improvements.
Educational and skill requirements
  • Good standard of secondary education.
  • Good spoken and written English; Maltese will be considered an asset.
  • Basic computer literacy, including use of email and order tracking systems.
  • Ability to read and follow job instructions carefully.
  • Good numeracy skills for checking quantities, sizes and order details.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Practical, hands-on approach to work.
  • Good organisation skills and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of the Operations Team.
  • Willingness to learn new products, equipment, systems and processes.
  • Responsible and professional attitude towards customer orders, company property and confidential information.
  • Previous experience in printing, production, finishing, packing, retail or customer service will be considered an asset.
