Project Manager

Position Summary

The Project Manager will coordinate all Development processes to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Plan, organise, manage and direct activities concerned with the development and maintenance of past developments.  
  • Liaise with supervisory personnel to discuss work procedures, complaints, and any issues.          
  • Prepare estimation of costs, follow budgets, and project timeframes.       
  • Inspect and review work, repair projects and reports to ensure work conforms to specifications.
  • Study job specifications to plan and deliver project.
  • Direct and supervise workers on sites to ensure the project meets specifications.
  • Assign and follow subcontractor work .           
  • Meet up with clients , and note specific requirements.         
  • Formulate reports concerning work progress, costs and scheduling to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.            
  • Liaise with Periti and staff from government authorities, including health and safety inspectors and building inspectors.     
  • Ensure site work is being carried out in accordance with building regulations, and AB standards.       
  • Investigate reports of damages on sites or 3rd parties to ensure proper procedures are being carried out.  
  • Be involved in the recruitment and selection of sub-contractors.
  • Help out the Commercial department as regards to work done on site by sub-contractors, extras on bills etc .

  • Carry out duties with attention to quality and contribute to the continual improvement of work processes

  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by following all health and safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices, and promptly reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses

  • Comply with all environmental policies, procedures, and legal requirements, and actively support initiatives to reduce environmental impact, waste, and resource consumption in the workplace
Educational and skill requirements

Level of Education Standard & Experience Required   

  • MQF LEVEL 6 (DEGREE)       
  • FIELDS OF STUDY - Construction Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Project Management
  • LICENCES/CERTIFICATES REQUIRED - valid driving licence        
  • TYPE OF WORKING EXPERIENCE - extensive work experience in the Development sector; in other supervisory, technical pr trade roles        
  • LANGUAGES- WRITTEN/SPOKEN - strong communication skills in English
