Psychology Officer

Psychology Officers provide brief interventions to individuals seeking assistance. This role is integral to supporting those in need, ensuring they receive timely guidance and access to relevant services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide short-term, action-oriented plans and interventions to individuals facing mental health or social challenges.
  • Serve as the primary contact for individuals seeking aid through various channels, including social media, phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Manage the daily operations of the service, including scheduling appointments and coordinating follow-ups.
  • Assess the needs of individuals and connect them with appropriate services to address barriers related to mental health, housing and overall well-being.

Requirements:

  • Hold a university qualification in a caring profession such as Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or Health Care Management.
  • Are highly motivated to provide practical, direct support.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Thrive under pressure in a fast-paced setting and during crisis situations.
  • Are fluent in both Maltese and English.
