What You’ll Do

As a Receptionist, you will provide exceptional customer service, handle patient payments and invoicing, maintain accurate records, and assist with various departmental tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Creating a “real sense of welcome and best wishes on departure” with all patients, their families, visitors and consultants, by greeting customers in a friendly, and professional manner at all times.
  • Being familiar with all tariffs and being responsible for patient invoicing, payments and disbursement.
  • Receiving payments for miscellaneous services and other associated hospital billings.
  • Monitoring the “Today Patient List” daily and referring for collection any unpaid bills for that day.
  • Ensuring agent cash float is reconciled on completion of each shift and deposited accordingly.
  • Accurately registering all patients arriving for appointments on the hospital information system, or ensuring that the details are accurately registered, checking for any notifications of previous visits and following up accordingly, and updating details as necessary.
  • Answering and screening all incoming telephone calls and actioning or re-directing appropriately.
  • Maintaining and recording/logging patient notifications and messages in an organised manner, for future handover, as appropriate.
  • Carrying out other departmental duties at a high standard when requested by Team Leader/ Manager or by the Company, from time to time.
  • Ensuring that the Customer Care Agent job description is executed daily in practice.
  • Thanking clients and visitors for using our services and asking whether they are satisfied with the services received and patient care offered by the hospital.The feedback received (negative/positive) should then be communicated directly to the team leader or department manager.

  • Sharp eye for and attention to detail.

  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft processes.
