Refrigeration Technician
Meliteh Recruiting is seeking a skilled and reliable Refrigeration Technician to join our client's Maintenance team on a full-time basis in Malta.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, modifying, and troubleshooting refrigeration appliances and systems, ensuring efficient operation and quick resolution of issues.
• Perform repairs and maintenance duties on a wide variety of refrigeration equipment such as walk-in freezers, industrial-sized steam cookers, refrigerators, ice machines, and water coolers
• Carry out periodic inspection, cleaning, and servicing of equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Log into the work order management system to find, accept, and complete work requests efficiently
• Install new equipment, repair leaks, and ensure the correct settings of wiring controls
• Change equipment parts that have become old or defective
• Work closely with other maintenance workers, company management, and staff to effectively provide solutions to maintenance problems
• Attend quickly to emergency calls for equipment repair issues, including after-hours calls
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Outstanding soldering and brazing skills, applying oxygen/propane
• Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, following manuals on operations and installations
• Proficiency in applying various types of equipment safely and efficiently
• Ability to prioritize assigned tasks for increased job delivery
• Properly investigate problems with food equipment, identify the issue, and correct it
• Possess refrigerant transition and recovery certification
• Strong knowledge of basic electrical practice, theory, and safety
• Strong knowledge of the fundamentals of commercial refrigeration practice and theory
• Strong keyboarding and basic computer skills
• Knowledge of plumbing repair, installation practices, and procedures
• Ability to quickly understand and carry out both written and oral instructions effectively
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision and take responsibility for the repair of assigned equipment
• Must possess a valid driving license
