Regional Sales Director
Meliteh Recruiting is seeking a motivated and experienced Regional Sales Director on behalf of our well-known client to join their team in Malta.
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), this role is integral in driving regional sales growth, expanding market presence, and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will lead a dynamic sales team, develop tailored strategies, and establish a strong customer base to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
• Design and implement sales plans that align with company goals while addressing regional opportunities and challenges
• Manage and inspire the regional sales team, including Country Sales Managers, Partner Sales Managers, and Account Executives, fostering a high-performance culture
• Identify growth opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, and customer segments, to establish a strong presence within the region
• Set, monitor, and adjust regional sales targets to ensure they are consistently met or exceeded
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring their needs are met and acting as a trusted advisor
• Streamline sales workflows and collaborate with Operations and Enablement teams to ensure the sales team is equipped for success
• Regularly analyze and report on sales performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement to senior management
• Work closely with other Regional Sales Directors, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment and consistency across regions
• Attend regional industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and gather market insights
• Tackle diverse tasks beyond the job description as needed, showcasing flexibility in a dynamic environment
• Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably as a Regional Sales Director or equivalent
• Strong track record in developing and implementing successful sales strategies tailored to specific regions
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage sales teams effectively
• Expertise in market expansion and building strong client relationships
• Excellent data analysis skills, with the ability to adjust strategies based on performance metrics
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
• Proven ability to represent a company at industry events and gather market intelligence
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is considered advantageous
• Flexibility and adaptability to take on diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment
