Shuttering Carpenter (Shutterer)

JLR Construction is seeking to employ a Truck Driver due to increase in projects.

We are looking for a Shutterer for constructing and installing formwork (shuttering) used to mold concrete into structural shapes such as beams, columns, slabs, walls, and foundations. The role involves precise measuring, cutting, assembling, and positioning of formwork materials—typically timber, plywood, or prefabricated systems. Shuttering carpenters work closely with site engineers and concrete teams to ensure accurate dimensions, structural integrity, and safe construction practices.

Responsibilities:

• Build, assemble, and install shuttering/formwork for concrete structures
• Measure, mark, cut, and shape wood, metal, or plastic formwork materials
• Check formwork quality before concrete pouring and make adjustments as needed
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other construction teams

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience in the construction sector.
• Previous experience as a shuttering carpenter or formwork technician
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and measurements
• Strong understanding of site safety standards
• Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
• Good teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills
