We are currently looking for a Sommelier to join our well-known restaurants.
The Job
- Assist in managing the wine program, including the selection, storage, and service of wines.
- Provide knowledgeable wine recommendations and pairings to guests, enhancing their dining experience.
- Participate in regular wine training sessions
- Ensure that all wines are stored properly and served at the correct temperatures.
- Assist with the setup and service of private dining events and special functions, including wine service and presentations.
- Monitor and manage wine inventory levels, including conducting regular stock checks and communicating needs for replenishment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wine storage areas, including wine cellars and display cases.
- Collaborate with the bar and restaurant teams to ensure seamless service and a high-quality guest experience.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any guest inquiries or concerns related to wine.
- Support the Head of Wine in developing and executing wine-related events and promotions.
- This role requires a passion for wine, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional wine experience for guests.
- Commit to completion of Online training within 2 weeks of Start date.
- Occasionally, you will be asked to assist the team with tasks outside your regular duties to support overall operations.
Job Requirements
- Certification as a sommelier.
- Previous experience as a sommelier.
- Extensive knowledge on wines and regions of the different types.
- Knowledge of local vineyards and wineries.
