Job Summary:
As a Store Keeper, you will play a crucial role in managing our construction site's store, ensuring that all tools, materials, and equipment are well-organized, securely stored, and easily accessible. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain an orderly environment will support the efficiency and productivity of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, and equipment stored at the site.
· Receive, inspect, and store all incoming supplies, verifying quantities against orders and inspecting for damage or discrepancies.
· Issue materials and equipment to workers as required, ensuring proper documentation and return of items.
· Perform regular inventory checks and prepare reports on stock levels, reorders, and discrepancies.
· Ensure the store area is clean, organized, and secure, implementing effective stock control and management practices.
· Coordinate with the procurement department for timely ordering and replenishment of supplies.
· Comply with all safety and health regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
· Assist in the coordination of logistics and delivery schedules to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Store Keeper or similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
· Excellent record-keeping abilities and proficiency in inventory management software.
· Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment is highly desirable.
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to lift and move heavy items when required.
· A team player with a strong work ethic and reliability.
· Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent; further education or certification in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
