Teacher of English (Senior School and IB Diploma)

St. Edward’s College is seeking to employ a full-time English teacher from scholastic year 2026 / 2027

What we’re looking for:

  • Fluency in Maltese and English. Other languages are considered an asset.
  • A strong educational background in English and English Literature
  • Passion for the subject/s
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and desire to work in a team.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive
    information.

Education and Experience

  • B.Ed., MTL or equivalent at MQF Level 6 or higher in the subject area; AND/OR
  • In possession of a recognized, relevant qualification at MQF Level 6 (subject to a minimum of 180 ECTS/ECVET credits or equivalent), AND a recognized qualification in pedagogy at MQF evel 6 (subject to a minimum of 60 ECTS/ECVET credits or equivalent of which a minimum of 18ECTS/ECVET should comprise teaching practice/relevant school experience) OR
  • A comparable professional qualification in the subject/area applied for
  • Experience in IB schools is considered an asset
