About Us

Roles & Responsibilities:

To provide support to the ward staff by answering the telephone and attending to queries from any visitors or patients, directing them to the right course of action whilst continuously ensuring not to over step into the clinical management of the patient;
To procure files form Medical Records when needed;
To assist IT with the maintenance of the TV cards of the ward;
To screen any incoming calls for the designated ward;
To admit patients on Compucare system, ensuring that the bed state is amended and always updated;
To verify all non-clinical details with patients or their next of kin once they are settled in the ward;
To ensure all files are complete with all relevant paperwork before a patient goes to theatre;
To liaise with patients’ insurance companies, providing any requested paperwork when appropriate;
To ensure all deposits are in line with self-pay patient’s hospital bill;
To organise appointments for in-patients accordingly;
To ensure all patient files have a discharge summary before being sent to Medical Records;
To provide the referring doctor with a copy of the discharge summary;
To inform staff accordingly when a patient is discharged;
To accompany patient on discharge;
To support the floors s/he is assigned to;
To undertake tasks with a minimum level of supervision and refer to his/her immediate supervisor when guidance is needed;
