Warehouse Assistant

Portughes Dry Cleaning is looking for an energetic and Team Player Warehouse Assistant who will be responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and delivery schedules.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Collecting laundry items cages from the distribution center and safely transporting to the loading bay clearly indicating to which driver they pertain.

• Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return.

• Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.

• Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for delivery.

• Handling all items appropriate care and attention.

• Scanning labels to ensure products are loaded to the right destination / drivers.
• Inventory Management: Receiving, organizing, and maintaining stock of laundry supplies, detergents, and equipment.
• Unloading deliveries to their distribution centre, verifying deliveries against purchase orders, and documenting received items.
• Following safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
• Disposing of waste and recycling materials appropriately.
• Keeping the warehouse area tidy and organized.

Educational and skill requirements

• Driving licences Category B and or C
• Someone who is collaborative.
• Someone who is a team player.
• Someone who is honest.
• Someone who takes work seriously.
• Educated with Customers
