Warehouse Assistant

Overview

We are looking for a motivated Warehouse Assistant to support our scaling ambitions and daily operations of our warehouse and distribution activities at Quintano Foods. The selected candidate will ensure the use of technology is maximised to achieve efficient product receiving, storage, picking and delivery while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and internal/external customer service.

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders across ambient, chilled, and frozen environments, following all handling, hygiene, and temperature control requirements
• Ensure full compliance with audited warehouse standards, including SOPs, food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements at all times
• Load delivery vans and outbound vehicles safely and efficiently, securing goods to prevent damage during transport
• Unload incoming consignments, verify goods against documentation, and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages immediately
• Put away stock in designated locations in line with warehouse layout and FIFO/FEFO stock rotation principles
• Support delivery operations by working as a helper on delivery trucks when required, assisting with loading, unloading, and customer deliveries
• Replenish picking locations and support stock control through counts and inventory checks
• Accurately record stock movements using warehouse systems or documentation
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization, including daily housekeeping and proper waste disposal
• Follow all health & safety procedures, including correct manual handling techniques and use of PPE
• Report all accidents, incidents, near misses, and damages promptly in line with company procedures
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and in accordance with certification; attend all company-provided training courses and obtain required certification for any Material Handling Equipment (MHE); only operate equipment for which certification has been obtained
• Work flexibly across different warehouse areas and temperature zones as required
• Communicate effectively with warehouse coordinators and team members to meet operational priorities
• Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
• Perform any additional duties assigned by warehouse coordinators or management

Requirements

• Ability to work on a shift basis (including evenings/weekends as required)
• Willingness to work overtime based on operational needs
• Must have own transport for reliable attendance
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling in varying temperature environments
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining safety and quality standards
