Inspire believes that everyone has a right to equality and inclusion. Our mission is to try to help everyone with a disability achieve this. We do this by providing individuals and their families with educational, therapeutic and leisure services. We also advocate for inclusion, educate the general public, raise awareness among peers, and hold the best knowledge base on disability on the island.

Our History
The Inspire foundation is the result of a merger between Eden Foundation and Razzett Tal-Hbiberija – two  leading charities that worked in the field of disability. The two organisations transferred all their resources and employees over to the new foundation, which now provides all the services in a one-stop-shop model avoiding duplication, enhancing service delivery and being more cost effective, leading to long term sustainability and added value.

Today
Today, Inspire helps hundreds of individuals with various disabilities ranging from Autism, Cerebral Palsy and others. We do this through many services and disability programmes that are offered.

General Scope and Purpose of Position
We are currently looking for a Speech and Language Pathologist to join our team on a Full-Time basis. Our Speech and Language Pathologists provide specialist assessment and interventions utilizing the necessary strategies as required. This includes monitoring and training staff directly involved in the implementation of the Speech and Language Pathologist treatment plan, as well as attend client reviews. It is essential that good quality standards of practice are met and maintained.

Our Occupational Therapists shall be responsible for providing specialist assessment and interventions utilizing Occupational Therapy strategies for clients referred to such therapies. They shall also be responsible in monitoring &amp; training staff directly involved in the implementation of the OT treatment plan, as well as attend client reviews.
Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Deliver Occupational Therapy to our clients within the programme as required;</li>
<li>Manage a caseload of clients using Occupational Therapy skills including evidence based, client centered principles to assess, plan, implement &amp; evaluate interventions;</li>
<li>Plan &amp; implement client centered individual &amp; group interventions, as well as domiciliary visits, using clinical reasoning &amp; a wide range of interventions to achieve therapeutic goals;</li>
<li>Monitor, evaluate &amp; modify treatment for clients with multiple needs in order to measure progress &amp; ensure effectiveness of intervention;</li>
<li>Undertake therapeutic moving &amp; handling of clients &amp; equipment, within clinical &amp; non-clinical settings;</li>
<li>Provide supervision to our junior staff and to Occupational Therapy students on practice placement as necessary;</li>
<li>Establish &amp; maintain communication networks with clients, carers &amp; other health workers &amp; agencies;</li>
<li>Maintain professional &amp; adequate reporting systems in both verbal &amp; written documentation form;</li>
<li>Ensure that up to date written &amp; electronic records, as well as activity data are maintained in accordance with Inspire standards;</li>
<li>Provide specialist Occupational Therapy reports relevant to the practice setting;</li>
<li>Decide priorities for own work area, balancing other client related &amp; professional demands &amp; ensuring that these remain in accordance with those of the service area;</li>
<li>Actively participate in the collection of appropriate data &amp; statistics as required by the organization;</li>
<li>Liaise closely with Programme Manager in monitoring the level &amp; quality of service provision;</li>
<li>Working within service standards and providing timely responses;</li>
<li>Contribute to the operational planning &amp; implementation of policy &amp; service development related to Occupational Therapy;</li>
<li>Assist in the delivery of delegated areas of the Occupational Therapy development plan within the Therapy Service as required;</li>
<li>Actively engage in research &amp; audit projects relevant to Occupational Therapy within the Therapy Service.</li>
