We do this by providing individuals and their families with educational, therapeutic and leisure services. Our History
The Inspire foundation is the result of a merger between Eden Foundation and Razzett Tal-Hbiberija – two  leading charities that worked in the field of disability. The two organisations transferred all their resources and employees over to the new foundation, which now provides all the services in a one-stop-shop model avoiding duplication, enhancing service delivery and being more cost effective, leading to long term sustainability and added value.

About the Role

Our psychologist shall conduct initial and specialized assessments, including behavior risk evaluations and psychological interventions, within a multi-disciplinary team. They shall monitor client progress, perform regular re-assessments, and prepare professional reports for presentation at case conferences. What you'll be doing:

<li>Assess new incoming clients using the appropriate psychological assessment tools in order to contribute towards the Multidisciplinary Team&rsquo;s decision making with regards to the goals for intervention with the client.</li>
<li>Follow clients' progress, re-assess for their review sessions so as to contribute to the monitoring, evaluation, and modification of intervention for clients with multiple needs.</li>
<li>Participate in Multidisciplinary Team case conferences in order to work in partnership with caregivers and other staff in the development and review of the Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP).</li>
<li>Draw up professional reports for each client prior to the Review session and to present such reports within the Multidisciplinary Team &amp; the parents/guardians.</li>
<li>Provide consultation to caregivers and other staff regarding the developmental, emotional and behavioural needs of clients, with the aim of supporting effective strategies and interventions within the child&rsquo;s daily environments.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with families and other staff to develop a comprehensive understanding of each client&rsquo;s needs for the development of their potential and for the creation of an inclusive environment in homes, schools, and the community.</li>
<li>Ensure that up to date written &amp; electronic records, as well as activity data are maintained in accordance with Inspire standards.</li>
<li>Provide specialist Psychologist&rsquo;s reports relevant to the practice setting.</li>
<li>Apply specialist skills &amp; knowledge in order to establish professional competence &amp; fitness to practice as a Psychologist.</li>

General Scope and Purpose of Position

We are currently looking for an Inclusive Education Practitioner to join our STEP IEI team on a full-time basis for a definite period ending in September 2027. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting inclusive education initiatives and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

What you&rsquo;ll be doing:
<ul>
<li>Ensure a good quality service delivery, working towards and implementing best practice methods depending on the client group, including, but not limited to the TEACCH method and SPELL framework.</li>
<li>Work towards and implement best practice methods that meet NAS Accreditation and ISO certification standards where applicable.</li>
<li>Address parents&rsquo; concerns through appropriate methods of feedback, and to seek advice when necessary.</li>
<li>Provide feedback to parents after the delivery of session/intervention, informing them of their child&rsquo;s performance in relation to the objectives being worked on and passing on any resources/recommendations to ensure continuity of care across all settings.</li>

About the role

As an Inclusive Education Practitioner, you must ensure the effective planning and implementation of individual/group sessions and activities according to set standards and criteria. They shall work closely with the Programme Manager, and other professionals to ensure good practice in the service the department provides.



What you'll be doing


 - Develop knowledge in the field they are working in by attending relevant educational institutions and/or training programmes as required, including but not limited to, attending joint sessions with therapists at Inspire or elsewhere.

 - Ensure a good quality service delivery; working towards and implementing best practice methods depending on the client group, including, but not limited to the TEACCH method and SPELL framework.

 - Work towards and implement best practice methods that meet NAS Accreditation and ISO certification standards where applicable.

 - Address parents’ concerns through appropriate methods of feedback, and to seek advice when necessary.

 - Provide feedback to parents after the delivery of session/intervention informing them of their child’s performance in relation to the objectives being worked on and passing on any resources/recommendations to ensure continuity of care across all settings.

 - Administer assessments to clients and the development of goals.

 - Prepare reports and participate in annual reviews for allocated clients.

 - Develop ‘positive behaviour support plans’ where applicable and ensure the dissemination of these documents to all relevant stakeholders.

 - Upkeep of the clients’ files whilst ensuring that any other forms such as student profiles, weekly and monthly planning sheets, data collection regarding clients’ performance, client attendances, etc. are completed in a timely manner.

 - Monitor sessions as part of the ongoing evaluation of the clients’ progress.

 - Prepare equipment/materials/resources and the delivery of individual sessions.

 - Assist colleagues in the preparation for extra-curricular activities and follow recommendations to limit any possible risks.

 - Attend school visits and maintain documentation regarding school visits, IEP’s, and MAPS sessions where and as needed.

 - Keep updated about the curriculum being followed at school and make this accessible to the clients.

 - Actively participate in all sessions carried out in different environments including the Multisensory Rooms, the pool, the Therapeutic Horseback Riding area amongst others.




What we're looking for

As part of the STEP Beyond Programme, you will work with children aged 6 to 9 years, delivering engaging and meaningful sessions designed to support their development. The programme focuses on providing a variety of activities that promote social communication, literacy skills, and overall inclusion in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications &amp; Experience

The ideal candidate should be in possession of the following:


 - A recognized ‘Qualification’ at MQF Level 6 in Psychology/ Education or in a relevant health &amp; social science.

 - Previous experience in a similar setting or in a relevant field (preference will be given to candidates exposed to autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

 - High proficiency in English language (C1 Level) (both spoken and written).

<li>Communication:&nbsp;Establish &amp; maintain communication networks with other staff members, clients, carers &amp; other health workers &amp; agencies.</li>
<li>Documentation:&nbsp;Providing specialist reports related to Speech &amp; Language Pathology of all service users, ensuring a professional and up to date records and data are maintained throughout.</li>
<li>Training:&nbsp;Contribute towards the induction and training of students and staff members (internal &amp; external) as required, providing specialist advise as necessary. Take responsibility for the supervision &amp; written assessments of students ongoing a placement at Inspire.</li>
<li>Service Development &amp; Delivery:&nbsp;Assist in the operational planning and execution of policy and service development.</li>
<li>Research &amp; Practice Development:&nbsp;Participate in research and audit projects related to Speech &amp; Language Pathology and share findings locally to support evidence-based practice.</li>
<li>Professional Development:&nbsp;Apply specialist SLP skills &amp; knowledge to establish professional competence &amp; fitness to practice as an SLP.
