Inspire believes that everyone has a right to equality and inclusion. Our mission is to try to help everyone with a disability achieve this. We do this by providing individuals and their families with educational, therapeutic and leisure services. We also advocate for inclusion, educate the general public, raise awareness among peers, and hold the best knowledge base on disability on the island.

Our History
The Inspire foundation is the result of a merger between Eden Foundation and Razzett Tal-Hbiberija – two  leading charities that worked in the field of disability. The two organisations transferred all their resources and employees over to the new foundation, which now provides all the services in a one-stop-shop model avoiding duplication, enhancing service delivery and being more cost effective, leading to long term sustainability and added value.

Today
Today, Inspire helps hundreds of individuals with various disabilities ranging from Autism, Cerebral Palsy and others. We do this through many services and disability programmes that are offered.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a warranted Psychologist to join our new research project for a definite period of 22 months (ending 28th February 2027) on a full-time/part-time basis. The educational/clinical psychologist is sought to assist with research on disability and psychological factors. Responsibilities include participant assessments (e.g., verbal/non-verbal intelligence, memory, theory of mind), evaluating the impact of accessible travel on individuals with neurodevelopmental and intellectual disabilities, and maintaining ethical standards. The role involves close collaboration with the research team and requires travel to support participant wellbeing during excursions.&nbsp; 
What you'll be doing
<ul>
<li>Plan, design, and conduct assessments of participants with disabilities regarding variables such as non-verbal and verbal intelligence, working memory, theory of mind, mental and psychological wellbeing, functional status, etc.</li>
<li>Assess and evaluate participants with regards to inclusion criteria and suitability for participation in the project activities.</li>
<li>Accompany project-related excursions and experiences in Malta and Sicily to ensure and evaluate the mental and psychological wellbeing of the participants and to assess the rehabilitative value of the experiences.</li>
<li>Assist in the evaluation of the research projects and their activities.</li>
<li>Support the quality assurance of assessments, data collection, and other research-related activities.</li>

<li>Ensure a good quality service delivery; working towards and implementing best practice methods depending on the client group, including, but not limited to the TEACCH method and SPELL framework.</li>
<li>Work towards and implement best practice methods that meet NAS Accreditation and ISO certification standards where applicable.</li>

As a&nbsp;Speech &amp; Language Pathologist&nbsp;and as part of our multidisciplinary team &amp; therapeutic hub you shall provide specialized assessments &amp; interventions to our service users utilizing adequate SLP strategies ensuring a good quality of practice and standards are reached and maintained. This includes undertaking comprehensive assessments &amp; providing therapeutic package to our service users through individual and group sessions.

<li>Clinical Duties:&nbsp;Delivery of Speech &amp; language Pathology within programme, including the management of caseload of clients with complex needs utilizing the required specialist skills. About the Role

As a
Speech &amp; Language Pathologist
and as part of our multidisciplinary team &amp; therapeutic hub you shall provide specialized assessments &amp; interventions to our service users utilizing adequate SLP strategies ensuring a good quality of practice and standards are reached and maintained. This includes undertaking comprehensive assessments &amp; providing therapeutic package to our service users through individual and group sessions.




What you'll be doing


 - Clinical Duties:
Delivery of Speech &amp; language Pathology within programme, including the management of caseload of clients with complex needs utilizing the required specialist skills. Monitoring, evaluating, and modifying the treatment, measuring progress and ensuring effectiveness throughout the intervention.

 - Communication:
Establish &amp; maintain communication networks with other staff members, clients, carers &amp; other health workers &amp; agencies.

 - Documentation:
Providing specialist reports related to Speech &amp; Language Pathology of all service users, ensuring a professional and up to date records and data are maintained throughout.

 - Training:
Contribute towards the induction and training of students and staff members (internal &amp; external) as required, providing specialist advise as necessary. Take responsibility for the supervision &amp; written assessments of students ongoing a placement at Inspire.

 - Service Development &amp; Delivery:
Assist in the operational planning and execution of policy and service development.

 - Research &amp; Practice Development:
Participate in research and audit projects related to Speech &amp; Language Pathology and share findings locally to support evidence-based practice.

 - Professional Development:
Apply specialist SLP skills &amp; knowledge to establish professional competence &amp; fitness to practice as an SLP. Create a portfolio highlighting the learning outcomes through internal &amp; external (CPD) continuous professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience


 - A degree qualification of a minimum MQF Level 6 in Speech Language Pathology or relevant.

 - Registered with the Council for the Professions Complimentary to Medicine (CPCM). (Guidance to apply for the registration will be provided by the employer).

 - Previous experience in a relevant field will be considered as an asset.

 - High proficiency in English language (C1 Level) is mandatory.

About the Role
We are currently looking for a&nbsp;Support Worker&nbsp;to join our STEP Forward programme on a Full-Time basis. The chosen candidate shall work with individuals to promote their active participation so that they can take part in meaningful everyday activities, regardless of their level of ability. Therefore, giving those they support more control, improve their confidence and increase their independence.&nbsp; 
What you'll be doing
<ul>
<li>Work with individuals during their daily participation in activities to ensure their active engagement to the best of their potential.</li>
<li>Support individuals during the provision of services in all possible aspects, including feeding needs, hygiene aspects, toileting and changing as well as supporting during transitions.</li>
<li>Support the set up of enabling environments to carry out the activities/session plans.</li>
<li>Support the preparation of resources when/as required.</li>
<li>Work towards and implement best practice methods that meet NAS Accreditation and ISO certification standards where applicable under supervision.</li>
<li>Support the service users in achieving their individual SMART goals.</li>
<li>Follow each individuals Behaviour Support Plans, Risk Assessments, Sensory Profiles under the guidance of the practitioners/therapists.</li>
<li>Liase with the team members to ensure that feedback is given according to the groups/ individuals performance and observations.</li>
<li>May be required to research and find creative ways in which sessions can be delivered depending on each individual/group&rsquo;s needs and find ways to better support and achieve their developmental milestones.</li>
<li>May be required to assist the practitioners/teachers/therapists with delivering sessions in small groups according to the curriculum/activities. </li>

What we&rsquo;re looking for
