Our History
The Inspire foundation is the result of a merger between Eden Foundation and Razzett Tal-Hbiberija – two  leading charities that worked in the field of disability. The two organisations transferred all their resources and employees over to the new foundation, which now provides all the services in a one-stop-shop model avoiding duplication, enhancing service delivery and being more cost effective, leading to long term sustainability and added value.

Today, Inspire helps hundreds of individuals with various disabilities ranging from Autism, Cerebral Palsy and others. We do this through many services and disability programmes that are offered.

About the Role
The practitioner shall be responsible for planning and implementing individual or group sessions and activities according to Inspire&rsquo;s established standards. What you'll be doing

<li>Upkeep of the clients&rsquo; files whilst ensuring that any other forms such as student profiles, weekly and monthly planning sheets, data collection regarding clients&rsquo; performance, client attendances, etc. are completed in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Monitor sessions as part of the ongoing evaluation of the clients&rsquo; progress.</li>
<li>Prepare equipment/materials/resources and the delivery of individual sessions.</li>

<li>Carry out supervision of transport when required.</li>

<li>A recognized &lsquo;Qualification&rsquo; at MQF Level 6 in Psychology/ Education or in a relevant health &amp; social science.</li>

<li>High proficiency in English language (C1 Level) (both spoken and written).</li>
<li>Available to work in the afternoons (between 14:30 and 18:30).</li>

General Scope and Purpose of Position

We are currently looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker on a Part-time casual basis. Our support workers shall be responsible for assisting individuals, promoting engagement in meaningful daily activities, regardless of their abilities. This approach empowers those they support, boosting their confidence and enhancing their independence.






Main duties &amp; responsibilities


 - Work with individuals during their daily participation in activities to ensure their active engagement to the best of their potential.

 - Support individuals during the provision of services in all possible aspects, including feeding needs, hygiene aspects, toileting and changing as well as supporting during transitions.

 - Support the setup of enabling environments to carry out the activities/session plans.

 - Support the preparation of resources when/as required.

 - Support individuals in carrying out activities as recommended.

 - Follow tutors and therapist’s as/when applicable recommendations depending on the SMART goals of each individual.

 - Follow each individuals Behavior Support Plans, Risk Assessments, Sensory Profiles under the guidance of the tutors/therapists.

 - Liase with the team members to ensure that feedback is given according to the groups/ individuals performance and observations.

 - May be required to research and find creative ways in which sessions can be delivered depending on each individual/group’s needs.

 - May be required to assist the tutors/teachers/therapists with delivering sessions in small groups according to the curriculum/activities.

 - Maintain continuous professional development and consistently commit to develop knowledge in the area on own initiative and/or through training offered by Inspire.







Role Requirements

The ideal candidate must be in possession of the following:


 - A recognized ‘Qualification’ at MQF Level 3 or higher (minimum of 60 ECTS/ECVET) in health and social care or relevant;

 - Previous experience within disability field (favor will be given to candidates exposed to Autism Spectrum Disorder/challenging behaviour);

 - Available to work in the afternoons;

 - High proficiency in English language (both spoken and written).


Prior to being recruited and throughout the duration of employment, the selected candidates need to satisfy the requirements of the Protection of Minors Act (POMA) together with those of immunization.
