Assistant Warehouse Manager

We are seeking to recruit a Full Time Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the selected candidate will be supervising the smooth running of all warehouse operations and processes and will be performing other hands-on operational functions within the warehouse as required.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Monitoring incoming and outgoing stock and reconciling with the data storage system;
Checking loading of company vans and ensuring that they are despatched from the warehouse on time;
Training warehouse personnel with regards to new techniques;
Planning ahead regarding the creation of storage space to ensure efficient space utilization;
Monitoring the up keeping of a clean environment in the warehouse;
Adhering to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements;
Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security;
Reporting any discrepancies in stock to the Warehouse Manager;
Assisting in the regular producing of reports and statistics.

Educational and skill requirements

Have previous working experience as an Assistant Warehouse Manager or a similar role;
Be an energetic, motivated and enthusiastic individual;
Possess excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills;
Be a team player and a quick problem solver;
Be flexible and able to meet daily unforeseen work challenges;
Have a hands-on approach;
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Be able to operate a fork lifter.
