Role Overview
The Company is seeking a driven and commercially minded Business Development Executive to support growth within the renewable energy and water treatment sectors. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, strengthening client partnerships, and offering tailored solutions to commercial and industrial customers while working closely with internal technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Actively pursue and secure new commercial opportunities within the renewable energy and water treatment markets.
- Solution Promotion: Present and position sustainable energy and water-related solutions to prospective and existing clients.
- Client Engagement: Arrange and participate in meetings, presentations, and on-site discussions to understand client needs and propose suitable solutions.
- Commercial Management: Prepare pricing documents, proposals, tenders, and follow up with clients to progress negotiations and close deals.
- Relationship Building: Develop and sustain strong long-term relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and other industry stakeholders.
- Internal Coordination: Work closely with engineering and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to specification.
- Sales Performance: Meet agreed sales objectives and contribute directly to overall business expansion.
- Market Insight: Keep track of industry developments and identify emerging opportunities within the wider commercial and industrial landscape.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Education: A relevant academic background in business, engineering, or a related discipline would be considered advantageous.
- Experience: Previous exposure to sales, account management, or business development is required. Experience within renewable energy, water systems, MEP, or similar technical sectors will be considered a strong advantage.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is required to succeed in this role. The ability to communicate in Maltese would be an asset.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to present ideas clearly, negotiate effectively, and engage confidently with clients and stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Skills: Capable of building trust-based relationships and working collaboratively across teams and external partners.
- Technical Skills: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Familiarity with technical or engineering-related environments is beneficial.
- Organisation: Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Self-Motivated: Proactive, goal-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of assessing client needs and contributing to practical, commercially viable solutions.
