Cashier - Fast-Paced Fast Food Restaurant

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Cashier to join our team in a high-volume fast food restaurant. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, delivers excellent customer service, and accurately handles transactions while supporting overall restaurant operations.

    Main tasks and responsibilities
    • Greet customers promptly and professionally.
    • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
    • Process cash, credit card, and digital payments.
    • Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and maintain cash drawer accuracy.
    • Answer customer questions regarding menu items, promotions, and pricing.
    • Prepare and package orders for dine-in, takeout, and delivery services.
    • Maintain a clean and organized front counter, dining area, and workstation.
    • Restock supplies such as napkins, cups, condiments, and utensils.
    • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
    • Follow food safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times.
    • Assist with opening, closing, and other assigned duties as needed.
    Educational and skill requirements

    Qualifications

    • Previous cashier, retail, or food service experience is an asset but not required.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
    • Ability to multitask and remain composed during busy periods.
    • Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting.
