We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Franchise Gastro Lab Specialist to join our team at a Food and Beverage outlet located in Malta. The Franchise Gastro Lab Specialist will be responsible for meticulously following franchise standards in the preparation and production of culinary products. The Franchise Gastro Lab Specialist will pay a pivotal role in ensuring that all recipes and menu items are consistently executed to meet our franchise’s high-quality standards.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Recipe Execution: Execute all recipes and menu items precisely as per the franchise standards, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes. 

Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that every dish meets franchise standards for taste, texture, appearance, and portion control. 

Ingredient Preparation: Accurately measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients according to standardized recipes. 

Cooking and Production: Follow cooking techniques and methods outlined in franchise guidelines to achieve consistent results. 

Plating and Presentation: Pay close attention to plating aesthetics and presentation standards, ensuring every dish is visually appealing. 

Timeliness: Work efficiently to meet production deadlines and ensure that all orders are prepared and delivered on time. 

Food Safety and Hygiene: Strictly adhere to food safety and hygiene protocols, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and following safety guidelines. 

Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring ingredient levels and reporting any shortages to maintain a smooth production process. 

Communication: Collaborate effectively with the culinary team, ensuring clear communication and adherence to franchise standards. 

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of recipe execution, production quantities, and quality assessments. 

Compliance: Ensure that all products and processes adhere to franchise standards, local health regulations, and safety guidelines. 

Educational and skill requirements

Previous experience (1+ years) in a Food and Beverage field, with a strong background in following standardized recipes and maintaining consistency in food preparation.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.

Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to culinary excellence.

Effective communication and teamwork skills to work closely with other team members.

Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and schedules. 

Fluent in English language, candidates with a knowledge of Italian language will be given a preference.  

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. 

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining food and beverage quality and presentation. 

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
