Position Overview: Nordic Sports Trader

Betsson Group offers an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished Nordic Sports Trader to integrate seamlessly into our esteemed sportsbook team. Situated amidst the vibrant backdrop of Malta, this exclusive opening serves as a gateway into one of the most exhilarating industries. Beyond this, the role situates you at the epicenter of activity in the sun-soaked Mediterranean, where Malta reigns as the bustling global nucleus for the betting and gaming domain.

Key Benefits:

This role is positioned within our sportsbook division, with a distinct emphasis on the Nordic Sports team. It entails the crucial responsibility of trading matches spanning diverse leagues worldwide, thus presenting an engaging and dynamic work schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Originate pre-match odds and conduct live match trading across a variety of sports events, with primary focus on Nordic leagues and winter sports.
• Execute market settlements as required.
• Monitor and analyze customer engagement, furnishing reports to the Customer Risk Analyst team.
• Effectively manage risk, promptly responding to market shifts and making accurate decisions. Collaborate with third-party trading providers.
• Foster a cohesive approach by liaising with both the Sportsbook and Marketing teams, ensuring the perpetual enhancement of Betsson's product and online offerings.

During Risk Shifts, Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Deliver 2nd-line customer support via different communication channels in collaboration with customer care team.
• Monitor odds fluctuations and incoming bets using assorted monitoring tools.
• Manually evaluate and process incoming bet requests.
• Promptly report any instances of suspected fraudulent betting activity to the Risk Manager and the Payments/Fraud Department.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in comprehending sportsbook products.
• A comprehensive knowledge base of Nordic sports and Winter Sports.
• Strong mathematical proficiency, including a sound understanding of statistics and probabilities.
• Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to think swiftly and perform under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated positivity, outgoing nature, and capacity to work autonomously or collaboratively as needed.
• Dedication, accountability, and a proactive approach.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, encompassing unsociable hours, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Prior experience in compiling odds independently, while advantageous, is not mandatory.

Bonus Qualification:

• Prior experience in sports betting or comparable roles.
