Sales Assistant

Eurosport, specialists and market leaders in sports retail, are recruiting for the position of Sales Assistant on a full-time basis for our retail outlets in Malta and a new outlet at Shoreline, Kalkara. The ideal candidate is outgoing and welcoming, always with a smile and acting as the main point of contact between the company and our esteemed customers. It is imperative that applicants are smart, well-groomed, hardworking, and passionate about our brands.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with their purchases, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle payments and payment systems.
Sales Support: Assist in restocking shelves, organising displays, and maintaining store cleanliness.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about product details and promotions to assist customers effectively.
Problem Solving: Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a friendly and professional manner.
Teamwork: Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and ensure smooth operations.

Educational and skill requirements

The ideal candidate will

Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Communicate well in English or Maltese.
Be attentive to detail and accurate in handling cash and processing transactions.
Be computer literate and willing to learn.
Have good collaborative and teamwork skills.
Be able to work on their own initiative.
Have flexibility and availability to work varied hours, including afternoons/evenings, weekends and holidays.

Previous retail or cashier experience is preferred but not required.
