Sales Assistant
We are looking for an energetic, hardworking, organised and reliable candidate to join our front of house team. In this role you will be responsible for being the first point of contact for all our customers. It is a varied role that moves between reception, retail, assisting with pottery painting sessions and restaurant hosting. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, enjoy selling and be comfortable to work independently.
· Welcome customers at reception and assist them with their shop purchases or their restaurant reservation
· Answer and manage incoming phone calls and messages promptly and professionally
· Handle enquiries, orders, reservations and bookings across the business
· Build and maintain relationships with regular customers
· Operate the point of sale and handle transactions accurately
· Receive, unpack, price and label new stock, and keep shelves full
· Keep the shop clean, tidy and well presented
· and tidy up afterwards
· Assist with pottery painting sessions by prepare the studio before and after sessions, welcoming participants and assisting them during the sessions
· Have experience in retail, hospitality, reception or customer service environment
· A confident, friendly phone manner and excellent interpersonal skills
· Sales minded and comfortable recommending products
· Highly organised, efficient and dependable
· Able to juggle several tasks and switch between roles during the day
· Comfortable with booking systems and point of sale software
· Flexible to work weekends and some evenings as required
