WE'RE HIRING – STORE CREW / TEAM MEMBER

Hans & Gretel – Marsaxlokk, Malta

We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic, and customer-focused Store Crew Members to join our team at Hans & Gretel, Marsaxlokk.

The ideal candidates must have previous experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in coffee preparation and barista duties, and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcome and serve customers in a friendly and professional manner.

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and other hot and iced beverages.

• Prepare our signature desserts, including chimney cakes, bubble waffles, gelato, and other speciality products.

• Operate the cash register and POS system accurately.

• Prepare, replenish, and monitor ingredients, mixes, and stock levels.

• Ensure products are displayed and presented according to brand standards.

• Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety throughout the store.

• Carry out daily opening and closing procedures.

• Work closely with the Store Manager and other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous experience in the food and beverage or hospitality industry is MANDATORY.

• Proven experience in coffee preparation and operating a professional espresso machine is ESSENTIAL.

• Ability to work on a rotating shift basis, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

• Strong teamwork skills, reliability, and a positive attitude.

• High standards of personal hygiene, cleanliness, and professionalism.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative when required.

• Good command of the English language.

• Third-country nationals (TCNs) must hold a valid work permit or appropriate authorisation to work in Malta.

This position is strictly for experienced candidates. Applicants without previous relevant food and beverage experience will NOT be considered.
