Stores Assistant/Delivery Person

As part of its ongoing commitment to driving growth and enhancing operational excellence, Prohealth is looking for a Stores Assistant / Delivery Person, to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary:

The Stores Assistant / Delivery Person is responsible for preparing, packing, and delivering products according to company standards. Duties include inspecting incoming goods, maintaining stock records, ensuring product quality, and providing courteous customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and pack products according to company standards, ensuring correct items, good expiry dates, and prioritisation of urgent orders.
  • Receive and inspect incoming goods, report discrepancies or damages, and maintain cleanliness and order in the store area.
  • Assist with stock records and promotional material preparation.
  • Deliver products safely and efficiently, ensuring items reach clients in good condition.
  • Provide courteous service, ensure that any payments collected are accurately reconciled against the corresponding invoices, and handle returns or exchanges as necessary.
  • Ensure that delivery vehicles are kept clean, well-maintained, and handled responsibly at all times, reflecting the company's image and standards.
  • At all times, the employee is to comply with the Company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in order that Good Distribution Practices are maintained throughout the chain of events from importation to distribution.
  • Any other task as assigned by the Logistics and Premises Manager.

The Candidate must:

  • Have a Secondary school leaving certificate.
  • Have ability to understand and communicate well in Maltese and/or English.
  • Be comfortable using a tablet to receive and process assigned orders.
  • Have basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Possess a clean and valid driver’s license.
  • Hold a clean police conduct.
  • Previous experience in a similar role will be considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with local roads, routes, and traffic regulations will be preferred.
  • Be receptive to constructive feedback and be willing to improve performance.
  • Have a positive attitude at work and be always willing to help without being asked.
  • Be organized with the ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Be able to manage time well and complete tasks within deadlines.
  • Communicate politely, professionally, and be helpful when interacting with customers.
