Summer TEFL English Teacher
San Pawl il-Bahar, Northern, Malta (On-site)
EF Malta Summer School is hiring English teachers for summer 2027 for our international language students aged 9 - 13. Are you passionate about inspiring young learners, skilled at keeping diverse groups engaged, and committed to building cross-cultural understanding? If so, we'd love to hear from you.
We offer a fixed – term contract between June to August 2027. Teachers may be scheduled for up to two teaching blocks per day, either as:
- Single banking: one teaching block per day, or
- Double banking: two teaching blocks per day.
Your schedule may vary from week to week. Some weeks you may double bank, and others you may single bank or teach fewer blocks. You'll be able to share your availability flexibly, and we'll work with you to plan your schedule
Responsibilities
- Deliver general English classes using the EF methodology, sprinkled with your own touch
- Next to planning and teaching classes, you are also responsible for tracking attendance and attending teacher meetings
- Facilitating testing during the course, including scoring tests
- General classroom management
- Participate in peer observation programs
- Act as an ambassador for EF
Requirements
- Available to work in Summer 2027
- TEFL, TESOL or CELTA (or equivalent) qualified
- Excellent communication skills
- Sensitive to the needs of international students
- Demonstrates a high level of customer service
- Comfortable working with teens (age 13 - 16 years old)
- Has strong administrative and organizational skills
- Right to work in Malta (European Passport)
- C2 level of English
