Accounts Executive

At Ennesse Ltd, we're the team behind the books of a growing roster of local and international businesses. As an outsourcing and bookkeeping firm in Malta, we handle everything from month-end closes to VAT returns, so our clients can get on with running their businesses. We're looking for an Accounts Executive who enjoys a tidy ledger, a reconciled bank account, and a well-timed coffee.

Main tasks and responsibilities

What you'll be doing

Managing a portfolio of client accounts from bookkeeping through to management accounts
Processing sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations and journal entries
Preparing and submitting Malta VAT returns and recapitulative statements
Handling payroll processing, FS5 submissions and year-end FS3/FS7 forms
Assisting with year-end files and liaising with auditors
Keeping clients informed and answering their queries clearly
Supporting ad-hoc projects as our client base grows

Educational and skill requirements

What you'll bring

A qualification in accounting (ACCA, MIA, a degree in Accountancy, or currently studying toward one)
At least 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role (fresh graduates with strong potential are welcome to apply)
Working knowledge of Malta VAT and payroll requirements
Confidence with accounting software and Excel
A sharp eye for detail and good time management across multiple clients
Good communication skills in English (Maltese is an asset)
