Deputy Head of Safety and Compliance

Our client is an airline operating under a Maltese AOC (EASA), focused on charter flights, ACMI leasing, and aircraft management services. The airline serves a broad portfolio of international clients, including major carriers and agents across the EMEA region. The fleet consists of Airbus A320 aircraft.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the Head of Safety & Compliance (HSC) maintain compliance monitoring programmes as required by applicable regulations and Standards.
• Coordinating and conducting internal and external compliance and safety audits.
• The timely dissemination of relative information to management and non-management operational personnel.
• Supporting the HSC with the development and maintenance of the internal audit plans and associated documentation.
• Monitoring the implementation of corrective actions resulting from audit findings.
• Supporting the HSC monitoring of contracted and sub-contracted activities which involves conducting audits/inspection and when required, which at times will involve traveling overseas.
• When required liaise with the competent authority.
• Maintaining and developing internal Compliance documentation.
• Supporting the HSC to develop and deliver training, to develop presentations as required.
• Supporting the HSC with ad hoc projects.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in aviation Safety and Compliance environment, with a good understanding of EASA Regulations
• Fluent in English
• Proficient with the use of MS Office applications
• Clean police conduct allowing for the issuing of an airport security pass
• Positive attitude
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
