Electrical Plant Technician – Licence B

Position Summary

The Electrical Plant Technician will have a sound technical and academic background in this field with a proven track record. Must posses Electrical licence A and B.

They will assist the Engineering Manager with installation, repairs and maintenance of electric and electronic equipment within the Production Plant. They will also assist with mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic installations as necessary

Main tasks and responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Repair existing electrical installation in both single and three phase.
Assemble, install, maintain and repair electric and electronic equipment.
Carry out necessary troubleshooting on plant equipment.
Carry out regular checks and assess the condition of electrical equipment.
Ensure that equipment is serviced on a regular basis
Assist other team members, including Electrical Fitters, as necessary.
Keep accurate and updated documentation including maintenance and service logbooks, technical reports and inventory records.

Educational and skill requirements

Level of Education Standard & Experience Required

LICENCES/CERTIFICATES REQUIRED - Wireman License A and Wireman License B shall be considered an asset
YEARS OF WORKING EXPERIENCE - 5 years
SPECIFIC WORKING EXPERIENCE – previous work experience as an Electrical technician
LANGUAGES- WRITTEN/SPOKEN - strong communication skills in English
