Financial Accountant

Shift4 is seeking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join a high performing finance & regulatory team as the business goes through a period of transformation. The Financial Accountant will be responsible for various tasks addressed mainly on the financial reporting of Shift4.

A successful Financial Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a solid knowledge of accounting principles to analyze and prepare financial reports. The ideal candidate should be an experienced hands-on person who is goal-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Assistance in the preparation of flux analysis and its interpretation to support the preparation of Board packs and Group Reporting.
Assistance in the preparation of the annual financial projections and other engagements.
Assistance in other ad hoc financial reporting and analysis for management, and other internal & external stakeholders.
Assistance in the analysis of accounting implications of key strategic initiatives and projects.
Working with other departments across Shift4 to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
Ad hoc project support to the VP Finance & Regulatory Reporting.

Educational and skill requirements

A minimum of 3 years' relevant working experience gained in a Big 4 Firm (preferably audit)
Conversant with IFRS accounting principles coupled with experience in financial reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft office applications with strong experience in Excel.
Ability to learn quickly and a proven track record in problem analysis with the ability to creatively and proactively solve problems.
Excellent organisational and interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ambition to enhance knowledge and skills in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment.
Ability to work under pressure, whilst balancing multiple priorities simultaneously to adapt to the changing needs of the business, while meeting tight reporting deadlines.
