Role Overview

The Junior Lawyer will support the legal team in delivering a range of corporate and commercial law services. This role offers exposure to multiple aspects of company administration and regulatory compliance, providing an excellent foundation for professional development within a collaborative and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal Support: Assist the team with corporate legal matters, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research and analysis to support corporate transactions and advisory work.
• Documentation: Draft, review, and maintain contracts, corporate documents, resolutions, and statutory filings in line with company and CSP obligations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across departments to achieve team objectives and maintain a high standard of client service.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and learning opportunities to expand knowledge within corporate, commercial, and compliance law.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: Law degree and a valid warrant to practise in Malta.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a law firm or corporate services provider (CSP) environment.
• Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is required.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of both Maltese and English.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for both client interactions and internal collaboration.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with company law, due diligence processes, and regulatory frameworks.
• Organisation: Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Self-Motivated: Proactive and driven, with a can-do attitude to support team growth and client objectives.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges creatively and provide practical solutions.
