Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Executive to join the team, focusing on driving revenue across the corporate market segment. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Revenue to secure business at optimal rates that align with the brand’s premium positioning. This role requires a balance of strategic sales performance, client engagement, and relationship management while upholding the highest luxury standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy Development: Devise and execute tailored sales plans to maximise revenue from both local and international corporate clients.
- Segment Performance Monitoring: Track and assess corporate segment performance, adjusting strategies proactively to meet or exceed targets.
- Contract Management Support: Assist senior management in preparing, distributing, and overseeing contracts with tour operators and corporate clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain and develop key corporate accounts, ensuring high-value business is secured and strengthened.
- Business Promotion: Represent the hotel at sales calls, site inspections, trade shows, and networking events to enhance visibility and build lasting relationships.
- Revenue Coordination: Work closely with the Director of Revenue to ensure pricing proposals are competitive and aligned with overall financial objectives.
- Internal Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Events, Marketing, Reservations, and Finance teams to deliver seamless client experiences from initial enquiry through to stay or event completion.
- CRM and Reporting: Ensure data accuracy within CRM systems and provide regular sales activity reports, pipeline updates, and conversion analysis to senior management.
Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes
- Education: Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ experience in hotel sales, preferably within a luxury hospitality setting, with proven success in corporate, consortia, and group sales.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is essential; proficiency in Maltese is an advantage.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Interpersonal Skills: Collaborative, proactive, and able to foster strong client and team relationships.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management software, ideally Opera.
- Organisation: Exceptional organisational abilities with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-Motivated: Driven, ambitious, and focused on achieving results.
- Problem-Solving: Strategic thinker with a solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
