Role Overview
The Junior Legal Executive will support the legal team in managing all aspects of vessel registration under the Malta flag. This role involves assisting with maritime transactions, liaising with clients and authorities, and contributing to the smooth operation of the legal department. The position provides hands-on experience and opportunities for professional growth within the maritime services sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Documentation Management: Prepare and draft all documentation required for registering vessels under the Malta flag.
• Maritime Transactions: Handle legal elements of ship sale and purchase transactions involving Malta-flagged vessels.
• Casework Support: Assist the legal team with day-to-day case management and liaise directly with clients and relevant authorities.
• Client Relationship Management: Manage individual client relationships independently, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
• Proactive Engagement: Demonstrate a hands-on approach to maritime legal matters and actively contribute to problem-solving within the team.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Education: Degree in Law (not yet warranted) or fully warranted lawyer. Prior experience in maritime law or ship registration is advantageous.
• Experience: Previous exposure to maritime legal matters or ship registration is desirable but not essential.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English, both written and verbal. Ability to communicate in Maltese is an asset.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication for liaising effectively with clients and authorities.
• Interpersonal Skills: Team-oriented with the ability to work collaboratively and maintain professional relationships.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of maritime law and vessel registration processes is beneficial.
• Organisation: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work under pressure.
• Self-Motivated: Proactive approach to work with a commitment to delivering results.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to resolve legal and procedural issues independently.
