Kitchen Porter

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and crockery.
• Keep kitchen floors and surfaces clean, dry, and free from hazards.
• Assist with basic food preparation as directed by chefs.
• Cleaning and restock restaurant restrooms regularly throughout the shift.
• Maintaining cleanliness in common areas such as customer waiting areas, hallways, and staff rooms.
• Dispose of waste and recycling according to health and safety regulations.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and report any shortages.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene guidelines and procedures.
• Report any hazards or equipment issues to management immediately.
• Wear appropriate PPE and adhere to uniform standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment
• Reliable, hardworking, and committed to supporting the team
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Physically able to handle kitchen tasks, including lifting, standing for long periods, and washing dishes
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Awareness of food safety and hygiene standards
• Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
